The Couture or made to measure process.

With a determination to constantly improve our services we find that the following process is the most stress-free for the bride and for us as well as producing consistently beautiful results.

1st.Consultation

We begin with a one hour free consultation (valued at $120.00) to
help you determine what style and colour gown will suit you, both
personally and for the type of event you are planning. At the end of
the hour a quotation and sketch will be drawn for you, which includes
all fabric, fittings and GST.The quote you will take with you, the sketch
remains with Deborah until you are ready to book.
Quotations are valid for 30 days due to changing prices of fabrics and imported materials.

2nd.Consultation

We offer a second appointment free to show your mum and/or your best
friends and make a final decision. (Additional pre-order fitting
appointments are charged at $100.00 per hour).

3rd Consultation

We begin the process of manufacturing your beautiful gown.....
We take measurements, contact details and payment. We have two payment options:

1. Payment in full, up front, with a 5% discount, or
2. Three payment installments: The first due at this consultation before any fabrics can be purchased
The second due at second fitting
The third and final payment one week before gown is picked up

Making the Gown

Every Deborah Selleck couture gown is manufactured 'in house'.
The salon has workrooms attached, and all work is done on-site by her professional team .
This ensures a personalized, professional service that puts You the bride first and foremost.

The Fittings

1st Fitting

This fitting takes place 3 months before your wedding and i is in calico.
It is a must at this fitting to have the shoes and chosen underwear(your chosen gown may or not be structured by an inbuilt corset)
With your measurements we took at booking date, we make a "toile" (calico basic
version of your gown) and fit this exactly to your body. This first fitting
allows us to make any fit and size change adjustments before we cut
the expensive silk fabric and laces we will use for your gown.
Any style changes can be done at this fitting with ease.
However,additional labour, fabric or material requirements will incur additional costs

2nd Fitting

This fitting takes place 2 months before your wedding.
Bring shoes and chosen underwear
The gown is now in the chosen fabric. Intricate lace and beading details are tacked to garment but as yet unfinished.
Fit adjustments ,hem lines, and movement are checked and finalized .
Changes to fit of gown after this fitting due to weight loss or weight gain will be charged separately.

3rd. Fitting

This fitting takes place 3-4 weeks before your wedding
The gown is nearing completion. Laces and beading details are sewn to the dress.
Accessories such as veils , jewelery etc. are tried on , and any final adjustments are marked.

4th and Final Fitting

Your gown is complete!
You try on your gown one final time before picking it up. This appointment
is booked for one week before your wedding to be sure the gown will fit perfectly on the day.
Outstanding balance on gown is finalized and paid. Gown and accessories are packed ready to go with you on magical wedding day.
